An early announcement of bioday 06 that will take place in Geneva around the World Meeting on Pharmaceutics, Biopharmaceutics and Pharmaceutical Technology - March 27-30. The goal of the meeting is to highlight key technologies and startups of the Lake Leman area as well as to foster collaborations in a network-oriented atmosphere!

A nice press release about a Swiss-based company working on intracellular peptide therapeutics for the treatment of stroke, myocardial infarction and cancer. They have been at it for a while and this first round comes as a major achievement for the team that started at CHUV.

Life sciences starts to be ripe for starting to use offshore partners for development. There is not a major crisis here yet on this but people are definitely careful about mentioning this too loud as the article below clearly explains.

Two Swiss companies have entered into an agreement. Well-known Serono will license drugs from Novimmune, a Geneva-based product development company focusing on immune mechanisms in order to clinically impact Immune Related Diseases, Inflammation and Organ transplantation.
